Uploading Publication

Uploading Publication

Step 1: On the Whare Kōrero Dashboard, click the 'Putanga/Publication' button. You may also click this link which will take you to the same page.

Step 2: Select the collection you want the content to be uploaded to. Click on the box and a list of collections will appear for you to choose from.

Step 3: Once you have selected from the list of collections, you will be asked to upload your file. You have the option of dragging and dropping the file, or selecting from your device. You can upload most types of audio and video files of any size. If you’re uploading files larger than 1GB, we suggest you use a fast internet connection.

Step 4: Once your file has uploaded you will need to fill out the publication information. It is important to ensure that all relevant information is filled out. Depending on the type of content you are uploading you may or may not have to fill in the Description text box. Don't forget to select the publish button before you Save your publication.

TIP: You can upload content to be published at a later time, or date. This is often helpful for things like news bulletins or pre-recorded interviews.

Step 5: Once you have Saved your new publication a 'Kua oti/Done' button will appear in the lower area of the screen, click the button and you will be returned to the Publications page, where your content will appear at the top of the list.

Navigating your Publication

As you can see below there are a number of different functions on the Whare Kōrero that support you to manage your content.

Edit Content:

To delete your content, click the three dots to the far right side, a delete button will pop up. Click this and your content will be removed.

The pencil icon allows you access back into the Publication Info section where you may edit the Headline, Summary, Date/Time of Publishing and so forth.

The graph icon allows you to see the Analytics associated with that specific publication.

This provides Kaimahi with insight into things like the number of plays, page views, total watch time and audience retention.

The eye icon allows you to preview your content in the web browser so you can check how it looks.

NOTE: This link allows you to preview unpublished content in a web browser. If you are on a mobile device and have the Whare Kōrero app installed, you’ll need to open the link in your web browser.

The share icon provides a link which you can use to share your content on social media and other platforms.
